Youth Employment in Australia for the Disengaged and Disadvantaged
Finding employment can be a difficult task for those with a disability or disadvantaged circumstances, and it can be particularly challenging for young people who find themselves in this situation. At CoAct, we recognise that those seeking youth employment in Australia have unique needs, which is why we offer access to a range of employment services and supports that are designed to empower young people in their personal and professional lives.
Providing a range of support services from career guidance to apprenticeships to disengaged youth programs
The barriers that prevent young people from obtaining and retaining employment are many and varied. That’s why it is important to provide a wide range of support services that address both the vocational and non-vocational aspects of a person’s individual pathway to employment. Through our network of youth employment specialists, CoAct helps young people to tap into their skills and passions while contributing to society in a positive and meaningful way. We connect youth with training and education programs, community support services – such as housing, counselling and health services – and help them to build up their confidence and social networking skills.
We take a community-focused approach to youth employment
CoAct is a network of not-for-profit employment services providers located across Australia. We are embedded in local communities, which means young jobseekers can access supports and job opportunities in their own backyard. Over 90% of our revenue is reinvested back into these local communities to further build on the support we provide to job seekers, families and carers.
