Leading community service provider, CoAct has almost doubled its footprint to deliver a stronger disability employment services program across Australia.
The national network has built a strong reputation for its commitment to creating social and economic opportunities for Australia’s most disadvantaged and is well-known for delivering highly-effective programs built on innovative solutions and community connections.
In this latest development, CoAct led the co-design of a unique best-in-class solution for the delivery of Disability Employment Services (DES) in collaboration with Community Service Providers and participants. This collaborative approach brings together the best of both worlds to ensure the service is customer-focused, flexible and high-touch.
Over the next five years, CoAct and selected Service Partners will be co-delivering 71 contracts, representing a $200 million investment to provide support to over 9,000 people with a disability in finding sustainable employment. The service will be delivered across 39 regions around the country as part of its commitment to help bridge the disability employment gap.
CoAct CEO Matt Little says this latest development is the result of strong collaboration across a range of Service Partners Australia-wide to create an improved customer-focused disability employment model that will deliver a new approach in Disability Employment Services, with a focus on customer experience and supporting their transition into long term sustainable employment.
“We want people with disabilities who are looking for work to feel invested in and have strong relationships with their CoAct Service Partners support team. We have consulted with our customers and listened to what they want to allow us to provide a service designed by them for them.” he said.
“This program will be delivered by selected not-for-profit Service Partners with embedded local connections, under the CoAct umbrella, to address any barriers people with disabilities encounter when trying to find employment.”
“Our dedicated team is 100% committed to making a real difference to the delivery of Disability Employment Services for each individual with a disability, as well as encouraging more connection with employers to diversify skill-sets in workplaces Australia-wide.”
